The School Day

Arrival

Our school opens at 8:30 am and the school day starts at 8.40 am.  For safeguarding reasons, parents or carers should not enter the school building without having first registered as a visitor at the school office and must let children enter the building alone.

Children arriving after 8.40am need to be brought to the main office entrance and parents need to sign their children into school (a book will be provided at the office).

Children have morning work ready for them when they enter school and once the register has been taken, they start their first lesson. 

Assemblies are held everyday from 9.30 am - 9.45 am.

Break time is from 10.45 - 11.00 am. 

Lunch is from 12pm - 1pm.

The afternoon session begins at 1.00 p.m. 

Home Time

Lessons end at 3.10 pm daily. Each teacher supervises their class out of the building at the end of the school day. If your child is to be collected by anyone not normally scheduled for a particular day, please advise the teacher or school office of the details prior to 3.10 pm. Similarly, if you have made arrangements for your child to be collected by an out of school club and the arrangements change, please advise the teacher or the school office.

The school day is 6.5 hours meaning a total of 32.5 hours over the week.
